Luise Becker was born in 1918. Shortly before her 20th birthday in the summer of 1938, she came to Neu-Isenburg, to pursue a one-year domestic economic internship. She then returned to Frankfurt. In July 1940, she lived in the Jewish retirement home in Frankfurt Rechneigrabenstraße 18/20 where she had worked as a household helper.
In summer 1939, Luise Becker tried to flee to London. The request for transportation of belongings was approved on September 7, but the departure failed due to the outbreak of the war. In the summer of 1940, Luise Becker had an opportunity to escape to Palestine, organized by the Jewish Agency of Palestine. Since Luise knew about the escape a few days before this opportune transportation, she could no longer get the necessary paperwork. With the support of her father, at the foreign exchange office of Frankfurt in 1939, she completed the lists of household goods submitted in haste, and the Palestine Office in Berlin, Frankfurt branch, Luise Becker received the necessary approval on July 20. It is unknown whether she still managed to escape.
Luise’s father, Sally Becker was born on June 3, 1880, in Bönstadt was deported from Frankfurt to the Minsk ghetto on November 11/12 1941.
