Ida Berliner is the mother of Grete Berliner, who is also mentioned in this memorial book. Ida was accommodated in “Home Isenburg" in October 1915 advanced in pregnancy. After Grete's birth, mother and daughter spent about two months together in Neu-Isenburg. At the beginning of February 1916, they returned to Cologne, Ida Berliner's hometown. Ida Berliner fled to Belgium at an unknown time. On September 8, 1942, she was deported from Mechelen (Malines) to the concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz, where she died. The destiny of her daughter Grete is unknown.
