Hedwig Blättner who was a nurse by profession, and worked as a temporary house help in “Heim Isenburg” for three months from December 17, 1937, to March 31. She was born in Bavarian Mainstockheim, district Kitzingen, but lived in Frankfurt. They lived in Kantstr.6 in 1939 and Josef Hayden-Straße 57 in the summer of 1941. At this time, she earned her living as a freelance nurse in private homes.

Hedwig Blättner was deported on October 19, 1941, to the Lodz ghetto. From there, her sister received a postcard on April 20, 1942, which was the last sign of life from Hedwig Blättner.

Hedwig's mother Therese Blättner, nee Einstein, lastly lived in Würzburg and was deported in the fall of 1942 to Theresienstadt, where she died. Hedwig's older sister survived the Shoah and lived in North Nordrhein-Westfalen after the Second World War.
