Hedwig Hainebach was the mother of Sally Hainebach, who is also recorded in this Memorial Book.
The pregnant twenty-year-old Hedwig Haineback to the Neu-Isenburg Home of the Jewish Women’s Association in mid-May 1940. A little later, she gave birth to her son Sally in Frankfurt.
After the birth of her son, Hedwig remained for a month with her son, before she returned to her hometown of Seligenstadt. In September 1941, she had married in the meantime and lived in Allendorf; Hedwig brought her son with her.
Mother and son stayed only for a year. On September 30, 1942, they were deported together with Fritz Weinberg, who probably was Hedwig's husband and Sally's father, from Darmstadt. According to recent findings, the destination of the transport was to the extermination camp of Treblinka.
