Hanna Mahler was four months old when her mother Else took her to the Home of the Jewish Women's Association on the day after the takeover of the National Socialists. Hanna grew up in „Heim Isenburg“. When she was six years old she was deported to Frankfurt to the ''Israelitische Waisenanstalt' (Israelite Orphanage), Röderbergweg 87, Frankfurt/Main. The last address of mother and daughter was Schwanenstr.7, Frankfurt/Main (Ghettohouse).

On November 22, 1941, Hanna was deported with her mother from Frankfurt to the Kaunas ghetto, where both were killed three days later.
