Judith Mayer was in the care of the “Heim Isenburg" in the summer of 1939 for several days or weeks. She was born in Frankfurt am Main. Her parents, Charlotte Mayer, née Seligsohn, and the merchant Josef Mayer had two older daughters. The family lived in Wiesbaden, most recently in Taunusstraße 23.

Since 1919, Josef Mayer has been the co-owner of a company with up to ten employees, which deals with manufactured goods. The global economic crisis and the boycott from 1933 drove the company into the bankruptcy in 1934. Josef Mayer's attempt to continue business after the departure of his partner failed. The company was deleted from the commercial register in September 1937.

Josef Mayer was arrested during the November pogrom in 1938 and held in the concentration camp in Dachau from November 14 to December 28, 1938. Shortly after his return, on January 18, 1939, he and his two older daughters fled to England. Charlotte Mayer and her youngest daughter, Judith, remained behind in Germany. For whatever reasons, they did not go to England is not known.

The last address of Charlotte and Judith Mayer was Frankfurt am Main, Green road 36. The mother worked in 1942 as a seamstress at a company in Mainzer Landstraße. She probably had to do forced labor there.

On the further fate of Charlotte and Judith Mayer the information is contradictory. Both did not survive the Holocaust. According to the Jewish Support Center of the City of Frankfurt on August 12, 1946, they were deported together to the Lublin region in May 1942. According to other data, Charlotte was registered in the transit and Theresienstadt concentration camp.

Josef Mayer died in England in August 1951. The two older daughters of the family emigrated later from England to the USA.
