Helga Johanna Rath grew up with her sister Margot and her parents Paul Rath and Lydia, born Schloss. Helga was 16 years old when she was admitted to the home of the Jewish Women’s association in Neu-Isenburg in 1937. There she probably completed an internship. She later worked as a tailor. Helga Johanna Rath was physically handicapped as a result of her congenital dislocation of the hips. After a year in Neu-Isenburg, she returned to Neuwied.
Helga Johanna Rath was deported to an unknown destination at an unknown time. She may have fallen victim to euthanasia in National Socialist Germany.
