Ingeborg Reis (Reiss) was the daughter of Gertrud Reis (Reiss) who is also mentioned in this Memorial Book.
Ingeborg Reis (Reiss) was born on December 24, 1937, in Frankfurt am Main. When she was eight months old, her mother brought her to Mörfelden. Mother and daughter lived in the Mittelgasse 9 in the house of the Reis (Reiss) family. Three elderly unmarried women called Reis (Reiss) lived there, and Adolf Reis (Reiss) born in 1902, who was probably Gertrude's husband and possibly father of Ingeborg.
On March 25, 1942, the six-headed Reis (Reiss) family was taken from Mörfelden to the deportation center in Darmstadt and then deported to the Piaski ghetto. Ingeborg Reis (Reiss) was four years old at the time of her deportation.
