Peter Sitzmann is the son of Käthe Klara Sitzmann, who is also listed in this memorial book. He was born in Frankfurt/Main in the Jewish Hospital in Gagernstraße 36 on July 18, 1938. When he was nine days old, he moved to the "Isenburg" home of the Jewish Women's Association - probably together with his mother. There he grew up to the age of barely four years. When the home was forced to close in 1942, Peter was brought to the Children's Home of the association “Weibliche Fürsorge” in Frankfurt/Main at the end of February. From there, half a year later, on September 15, 1942, he was deported to Theresienstadt, where he lived for another two years. On October 23, 1944, Peter was taken on a death train to Auschwitz. There his track is lost. It can be assumed that the six-year-old was murdered immediately after arrival.
