In particular this website is meant to remember those of the home residents who were deported and murdered during the Second World War, but it also includes the data of the survivors of the Shoah. These residents suffered years of discrimination, exclusion and legal plunder under the Nazi regime. During the Holocaust, they could flee from Germany, hid under constant danger or lived in ghettos and concentration camps in inhumane conditions.
In addition to the names and personal data, also the biographies of those women and children are displayed, as far as information gather to date, so that it is actually possible to impressively recognize people behind the data.
With its publication the Memorial Book is not completed, but growing and constantly changing through new research and information from readers.
Memorial Book to the Home of the Jewish Women's Association
The City of Neu-Isenburg dedicates this online Memorial Book to the women and children that lived, were cared for, or worked in the sheltered home of the Jewish Women’s Association being called “Heim Isenburg”, a remarkable welfare institution being located in Neu-Isenburg.
