Sella Beitowitz is the mother of Arnold Beitowitz, who is also recorded in this Memorial Book. She was admitted to the home of the Jewish Women's Association on October 25, 1935. A few months later she gave birth to her son Arnold in Frankfurt. After the birth, Sella Beitowitz lived with her baby in the "Heim Isenburg" a few days. Then she let her son in the care of the facility and returned to her hometown Berlin.
In the 1940s Sella Beitowitz had to do forced labor in the metal and electrical company Ehrich & Graetz in Berlin-Treptow. On an unknown date, they went into hiding (Pomerance, Aubrey (Hrsg.): Jüdische Zwangsarbeiter bei Ehrich & Graetz, Berlin-Treptow. Zeitzeugnisse aus dem Jüdischen Museum Berlin, Berlin 2003).
Sella Beitowitz survived the Shoah hiding in Berlin. After the war, she lived in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. On September 4, 1947, she emigrated to the US.
