Martha Gutmann was the mother of Josua Gutmann also listed in this Memorial Book. At the end of March 1938, she came to Neu-Isenburg to the Home of the Jewish Women's Association shortly before the birth of her son. After childbirth, she lived briefly together with her son at the facility before being signed off alone to Frankfurt in mid-July 1938. Joshua remained until the dissolution of „Heim Isenburg.“
Martha Gutmann returned later to her hometown in the administrative district Karlsruhe. With the mass abduction of Baden and Saar-Palatine Jews on October 22, 1940, she was deported to the Southern French internment camp Gurs. Shortly after she died on December 13, 1940.
