Sally Heippert is the son of Sammy Heippert who is also listed in this Memorial Book. He was born on January 9, 1942, in the Jewish Hospital at a time when it was there were deportations of German Jews to the concentration camps and extermination camps. His mother had lived the last few months before his birth in the Home of the Jewish Women’s Association in Neu-Isenburg. She stayed there after the birth for a few weeks with her son, before they returned to the hometown of his mother, Würzburg.

In June 1943 Sally and Käthi Heippert were deported from Nürnberg to Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp. At that time, Sally was one and a half years old, his mother 22 years. Both were probably sent directly from the ramp in Auschwitz to the gas chambers and murdered.
