Helmut (Hellmut) Hans-Georg Josef Stern (Uhlfelder) was illegitimate born on September 24, 1927 in Barmen-Elberfeld (Wuppertal) as Helmut (Hellmut) Hans-Georg Josef Uhlfelder. He moved from Elberfeld to Neu-Isenburg on October 17, 1924. From October 20, 1924, he was registered at the Jewish Women's Association's home, where he lived under the name Hellmut Uhlfelder until May 14, 1929.
He then moved from Neu-Isenburg to Spohrstr. 3 in Kassel.
Helmut Uhlfelder, or Stern, appears to have had a connection to Erlangen. On the registration card, under 'Nationality', the 'German Reich' nationality is not listed, but rather the 'Bavaria' state nationality. In the German Reich , the nationalities of individual states (such as Hesse, Bavaria or Prussia) did not entirely replace a uniform 'Reich nationality' as the primary category of citizenship, but were unified into a uniform 'Reich nationality' under the direct authority of the Reich by the Reich and nationality Act (RuStAG) of July 22, 1913 (which came into force on January 1, 1914), whereby state citizenship remained secondary but was retained.
He died on October 5, 2016 in ST. Loui, USA.
