Judis Schnapper lived in Luisenstraße 42 in Frankfurt am Main with her parents and her older brother Sigmund Peter Josef who is also listed in this Memorial Book. The mother, Mirla Schnapper née Grau was born in the Polish city of Tarnow. The father, Walter Schnapper, born in Frankfurt am Main, was a senior teacher (for the following, see the database of the Jewish Museum in Frankfurt am Main).
Walter and Mirla Schnapper gave their daughter Judis to the care of “Heim Isenburg” for three weeks shortly after her birth. The reason for the child's stay in Neu-Isenburg is not known.
The last address of Walter and Mirla Schnapper in Frankfurt was Eulengasse 3. Judis eventually stayed together with her brother in the home of the Association of “Weibliche Fürsorge” in Frankfurt Hans-Thoma-Straße 24.
Judis Schnapper was deported on November 12, 1941, together with her parents and her brother from Frankfurt to the Ghetto Minsk. No trace of the family exits there on. Judis was two years old at the time of her deportation.
