Heinrich Sklarek was the son of Helene Sklarek who is also listed in this Memorial Book. He was born on April 26, 1937, at the Frankfurt Jewish Hospital at Gagernstraße 36. He was probably received at the Neu-Isenburg Home of the Jewish Women’s Association together with his mother two weeks after his birth. His mother returned to Kaiserslautern a month later, on July 1, 1937, and at the end of the month, she brought her son home. Helene and Heinrich Sklarek lived in Helene's family home in Kaiserslautern in Humboldtstraße 6.

Since Helene's father was of Polish origin, the seven-member Sklarek family was deported to Bentschen by the German authorities at the end of October 1938 in a mass deportation called "Poland Action.” No trace of them exists there on. It can be assumed that after the beginning of the war, she was murdered in a Nazi camp in German-occupied Poland. Heinrich Sklarek was only one-year-old during his deportation, his mother, Helene was 21 years old.

The fate of the Sklarek family has been researched by Michael Wiesheu for the Stumbling Block Initiative in Kaiserslautern, and the results have been made available for this Memorial Book. His research results have contributed significantly to the completion of this Memorial Book entry.
