Selma Herz was born on November 16, 1896 in Gaulsheim Kreis Bingen. In the list of the inhabitants she was a 'housemaid'. The familiy Herz owned a house in Bingen-Gaulsheim at the corner of the Mainzerstreet/Ockenheimerstreet. Her father has a small grocery store.

She was the eldest duaghter of the family. From November 29, 1919 until January 29, 1920 she was in the Home 'Isenburg'. She left the Home to Frankfurt/Main, but in reality she moved back to Gaulsheim, where she was registered on January 29, 1920. Selma Herz has a illegitimate daughter, Rose. She was born on October 3, 1920 in Bingen-Gaulsheim. On September 16, 1926 Selma Herz emigrated to Brooklyn, USA. One year later her daughter probably moved also to USA. In the list of inhabitants is mentioned that he left to Northamerica. In the 1940s Selma Herz died in the USA.

The second daughter of the family Herz, Hedwig, was born on November 19, 1898. She was an educator. She married a non-jewish lawer. After the enact of the nuremberg race laws she hanged herself. They had no children.

On September 20, 1900 Lili Herz was born. On September 5, 1926 she moved to Mainz, where she worked as a warehouse keeper for a shoe-factory. She lived in the Adam-Karillon-Street 14 1/10. On March, 1942 she was deported with the number 674 on the deportationlist to Piaski-Lublin.

The youngest daughter Rosa, was born on October 20, 1903. In July 1920 she moved to Bad Nauheim. She emigrated to the USA, where she was the only sibling to live through the end of the Second World War.
