Ilse Stein was the daughter of Marie Stein who is also listed in this Memorial Book. She came with her mother shortly after her birth to the Home of the Jewish Women’s Association in Neu-Isenburg. Ilse remained in the establishment for a short time until its dissolution in the spring of 1942 while Marie Stein moved to Frankfurt.
On September 24, 1942, the four-year-old Ilse Stein was deported to Raasiku in Estonia together with her mother, Marie. She was probably murdered there immediately after her arrival.
