Josua Gutmann was the son of Martha Gutmann also listed in this Memorial Book.

Josua Gutmann was born on May 1, 1935, in Frankfurt am Main.  A few days after his birth he was taken up in the Home of the Jewish Women's Association in Neu-Isenburg together with his mother.

Joshua remained until the dissolution of the „Heim Isenbug.“ Afterwards, he lived in the home of the Association of female care in Frankfurter Hans-Thoma Street 24 for half a year. On September 15, 1942, he was deported together with many other children from the Frankfurt home to the ghetto Theresienstadt. On October 23, 1944, they deported the five-year-old boy to the concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz, where he was killed probably immediately after his arrival.
